I agree it is great for fans living in that part of NC

However, is that the best thing for the team though? I mean it shouldn't be difficult for the ACC to come up with a scheduling philosophy so every ACC splits the 2 VA schools, the 2 NC schools in their division, and the 2 FL schools. Heck that same strategy could even be extended to the remaining 6 football schools if you created the following pairings:

BC-Syracuse
Pitt-L'ville
Clemson-GT

Although it wouldn't be a big deal if the ACC didn't do that assuming a team doesn't play both teams in the pair in back-to-back weeks particularly for the BC-Syracuse and maybe the Clemson-GT pairings.
